Tissamaharama is located in the Southern district of Hambantota and was an important location in the southern kingdoms of ancient Sri Lanka. The Tissa Wewa and Deberar wewa reservoirs are not only remnants of Sri Lanka’s ancient technical genius but also attract local bird species.
